Projects & Programs

The Club’s projects and programs are funded by membership dues and fundraisers.

In addition to monthly program meetings, members participate in field trips, special garden tours, and workshops on a variety of horticultural and design subjects. Members also receive our quarterly newsletter, The Twig.

Civic Beauty crews plant and maintain pocket gardens and planters around New London. Please see the Community Service page for a complete list of those gardens.

The Club also:

  • Funds a scholarship each year for a student at Kearsarge Regional High School with an interest in horticulture, environmental science, the perpetuation of desirable native plants and birds, or other aspects of the Club's objectives.

  • Sponsors annual Garden Club Awards to Main Street and Newport Road businesses and homeowners to promote interest in gardens and beautification.

  • Holds standard flower shows, open to the public, which include horticultural, design, educational and youth exhibits and competitions.

  • Is a member of the NH Federation of Garden Clubs (www.nhfgc.org) and National Garden Clubs, Inc. (www.gardenclub.org).

The Club is a 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax deductible within the limits of the law. If you are interested in making a donation to the New London Garden Club, please send your check to P.O. Box 1772, New London, NH 03257. Thank you for your support.
