Annual Antique Show ~~~ July 27, 2013
The New London Garden Club will hold its 47th Annual Antique Show and Sale on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. on the Town Green, Main Street, New London, NH. Rain or Shine---we are fully equipped for less than wonderful weather. Held under tents, the show is a major annual attraction for both residents of the Lake Sunapee Region and visitors from other areas.
About 55 antique dealers from all over New England will offer antiques from large pieces of furniture to small collectibles. Glassware, linens, estate jewelry, paintings and prints, silver, ceramics, pottery and garden ornaments will be among the many articles for sale. There will be a Garden Club booth featuring perennial plants from local home gardens and floral arrangements by club members. Coffee at 8 AM and Homemade Lunch, consisting of soup, salads, sandwiches and desserts, will be served in the Garden Café tent from 11 AM to 2 PM. The “Exit 13 Tuba Quartet” will entertain from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on the Green.
New this year: Bring 1 to 3 antiques for appraisal by William A. Smith of WA Smith’s Auctions, Inc. of Plainfield, N.H. from 10 AM until 12 noon. Appraisals are $5 for each item or 3 items for $10.
Tickets are $5.00 and Early Admission tickets (8 A.M) are $20.00. Proceeds benefit local civic beautification projects and UNH and Colby-Sawyer College scholarships.

Directions to the New London Town Green:
- From the South: Take Rt 89 to Exit 11. At the bottom of the ramp turn right. Go 1 mile to Rt 114. Turn left and go @ 1.4 miles. The Green will be on your right.
- From the North: Take Rt 89 to Exit 12. At the bottom of the ramp turn left. Go @ 3.2 miles. The Green will be on your left.
Civic Beautification — Each year, members plan, plant and maintain New London pocket gardens and plantings in public areas.
Community Garden at Tracy Library — Members of the club and community help to maintain the historic gardens behind Tracy Library in New London on Monday mornings, mid-April to mid-November.
The Fells Gardens — Members and others help to maintain gardens at the Fells, a historic site in Newbury, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings mid-April to mid-November.
Christmas Greens — Members make wreaths for public buildings and tray baskets for Bittersweet and Meals on Wheels.
Hospital Day Flower Booth — During Hospital Days, the members hold a plant and flower arrangement sale to benefit New London Hospital.
New London Hospital Flower Care— Members arrange floral displays for the hospital and care for patients' plants and flowers several times each week.
